Like all people who are losing weight, plateaus are a frustrating experience. Day after day, the scales wobble around the same two pounds.
I think the jam is breaking though, each time it's down, it's a little more down.
Of course, this past week has been exhausting. I've been working at the North Bay Stand Down, assisting homeless and at-risk Veterans in getting their lives back on track.
I need to get more rest.
Did you know that not getting enough sleep is a factor in weight gain? It does make sense, since when you're tired, you tend to eat for energy. Also, the more hours you're up, the more opportunity to go look in the refrigerator for those leftovers from dinner...
Rest, drink more water, stick to your eating plan. That's the best way to overcome a plateau.
A little more exercise won't hurt either...
